What’s the best magic trick out there? Great design! Why? Because the viewer is focusing on the content – not the design. Design should support and control where your eye moves across the page. It helps tell the story in an easy way. Getting your audience to understand your message is the goal, right? A designer’s job is to keep it simple, clean and easy to understand. We will be talking about the basics of graphic design rules and going through the do’s and don’ts. We will be talking about how important color is and how to use white space effectively. After attending this session, you will be able to:

  • Recall the basics of graphic design rules (the do’s and don’ts)
  • State the importance of color and white space
  • Create a design within a simple grid system
