[C] How to Tame “The Beast” – Mosaic’s approach to Managing Compliance Training – Mark Biederman

Learn how Mosaic is developing an automated enterprise wide training matrix to manage our regulatory compliance training inside of our LMS.  This process will enable an employee, manager and/or business leader to view required courses for positions, roles, a facility, business unit or across the entire company of the progress toward completion of required training using a simple interface in the LMS thus replacing “the beast”- an Excel-based solution.   The business impact provides enhanced reporting capability to provide a true compliance picture for all training globally.  It also reduces the risk for regulatory fines and the safety risk for our employees.  It also enables the creation of a training scorecard for leadership oversight.

Mark has extensive experience in learning and development at a variety of organizations:  Mosaic, Medtronic, Cargill, Deluxe and IDS. His roles have included: Global LMS Lead, Learning Technology Manager, Sr. Learning Specialist, Change Management Lead, Vendor / Sourcing Manager, Facilitator and Instructional Designer.   Mark has been an active member in PACT for 25 years. He has served on the Board as:  President, Vice President, Past President, Career Enhancement and Program Chair as well as the membership and advisory committees. He is also a member of the PACT hall of Fame.
