Using comics for learning has a long history of telling stories to teach concepts and processes. A one-page comic scene can describe a complex process, or a comic scenario with characters and dialogue can help explain more difficult subjects. But is choosing the comic medium the right approach? Can a story told through the comic medium maintain instructional value? The comic medium is not unlike other available media when designing instruction, rather it is understanding when a comic is the best fit for both the target audience.

Kevin is an award-winning elearning designer & developer, consultant, and owner of NuggetHead Studioz, LLC., a boutique custom design and development studio specializing in online learning experiences. After retiring from the U.S. Army, Kevin pursued a career in corporate IT and Training & Development. With his combined military and industry experience, Kevin started the Studioz in 2012 working with clients in various industries solving problems in a wide range of creative projects.
